I have been going to Savant Audio for some years now (since 91?)...What I can say best is this: almost always what Joshua (the head consultant at Savant) tells me to try out does indeed improve my system, in the way he describes it will (especially with cables). Savant has performed many modifications to my Rega Planar 3 and greatly improved the sound. Be ready for some departures from the recommendations and fashions of the audio "press". Often a component Savant recommends is not on any hit list and may be even quite affordable; and when tried out at home sounds superlative--case in point, my Rega Brio amp and JPW Millennium 510 speakers...not to mention inexpensive Rega speaker cable... I keep going back, when my wife and my limited budget allows an upgrade.
